College Financial Aid and Scholarships
Dear  Parents,

We want to make you aware of some important financial aid and scholarship information for you and your student:

FAFSA:  Please be aware that you should complete your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by February 15, 2011.  This form is used by the federal government and your university or college to determine how much aid you might receive in the form of grants, scholarships, or loans.  It is very important that you complete this in February so that you can qualify for the maximum awards and assistance available to you by the government and your college.  To access the FAFSA, please visit www.fafsa.ed.gov.  If you need assistance in completing the form, contact your college’s financial aid office.

Scholarship Deadlines:  Do you know what scholarships are available at your college or university and when the application deadlines are?  If you have not done so already, please visit your college or university’s website or call their financial aid office to get scholarship information and deadlines.  Most colleges will begin awarding scholarships over the next couple of months.
