Recent Athletic Achievements
The Greater Lansing Activities Conference hosted banquets in April to recognize top senior student-athletes. At the GLAC Scholar Athlete Banquet, seven LCS athletes were selected for ranking in the top ten of the class academically and for playing at least one varsity sport this year. Three were also selected as members of the GLAC All-Academic Team. Congratulations to them for all their hard work.
Historic Boys’ Soccer Win!
History was made for our LCS Boys’ Soccer program on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Crestwood Middle School, as they won the State Championship for the very first time ever. They defeated Grand Rapids Covenant Christian 1-0. Click here for a great article.

Senior Josh Parks signs to play baseball at the prestigious University of Chicago. He has received a scholarship worth $55,142 per year, which is almost a full ride.

Individual accomplishments of 2015-2016
The Boys Cross Country team qualified for the State Finals for the 2nd year in a row, but Natalie Krueger finished 15th at the Regionals and also qualified for States. The top finishers for the boys were Andrew Carlock #6, Davis Tebben #8, and Dawson Block #9.
Natalie Crandall and Madison Casteel
Junior Natalie Crandall, who dived with the combined LCS/Williamston swim team, placed 7th at Regionals, which allowed her to go to States, where she placed 15th.
Junior Madison Casteel had the fastest time at 27.37 in her leg of the 200 relay at the League Meet which allowed her to go to States. Her 200 relay team finished 27th.
Parker Jamieson was the Division 4 Golf State Champion.

Senior Trace Henderson won both the mile and two mile races at Regionals and advanced to States. At States he medaled and earned a spot on the podium and All-State honors in the 1600 meter run with an 8th place finish in a 4:35.85 time. He followed that with a new school record and personal best time of 10:12.17 in the 3200 meter run which was a 12th place finish.
Senior Hunter Block won the 400 meter run at Regionals and advanced to States. At States he won his heat in the 400 meter dash dramatically. He simply out-willed his competition the last 10 meters to win a close finish. He placed 16th overall with a time of 53.44.
Sophomore Natalie Crandall who dived with the combined LCS/Williamston swim team placed 9th at Regionals which allowed her to be the first diver in LCS history to qualify for the State finals where she placed 26th.
Sophomore Grace Haley placed second at 1st singles in Regionals and advanced to the State Girls Tennis finals where she tied for 9th.
Senior Kelsey Blood won Regionals at 4th singles, the first LCS tennis regional champion ever.
Freshman Parker Jamieson took first place in the Greater Lansing Activities Conference boys golf league. The whole golf team qualified to go to Regionals and from there Parker qualified to go to States where he finished 10th among individual qualifiers.
