These procedures apply to all fundraisers and events conducted by any grade, class, or group benefiting Lansing Christian School. All fundraisers and events must have prior approval from the Administration. 

BEFORE the fundraiser or event, complete the Request for Fundraiser Activity or Event Form. Submit this form to Carol Feuss in the Main Office; allow at least 2 weeks for processing. Administrative approval will be based on multiple factors such as nature of the fundraiser, the proposed dates, fundraisers with prior approval and school resources required. Once the fundraiser is approved, if it uses LCS facilities, please fill out the Facilities Use Request Form.

Following the fundraiser or event, the appropriate report must be completed and submitted to the Business Office (Linda Hornberger) in order for the proper class or account to be credited with the profit.

Note: Cash must be deposited regularly, at least weekly, to the Business Office using LCS deposit envelopes available in all offices.

It's so simple! All you have to do is:

1) Go to the Good Search website and choose Lansing Christian School (Michigan, not Illinois) as your cause.
2) Search the web as you normally would (the site is powered by Yahoo!, so you'll get high-quality search results).
3) Good Search donates approximately $0.01 to LCS for each web search.  For example, 1000 people conducting two searches a day would generate approximately $7,300/year.

Market Day is a fun and delicious fundraiser for Lansing Christian School! Each month, families can go to the Market Day website or complete an order form (sent home with students) and purchase high quality frozen foods. Market Day offers appetizers, full meals, snacks, desserts, beverages, meats, and sandwiches just to name a few! For the 2007-08 school year, $5,752 in Market Day profits were directed to LCS teachers (including $2,995 just from pie sales in November). Market Day 2009-10 Schedule:

T.R.I.P. is a volunteer run program in which families purchase certificates through Lansing Christian School to shop at grocery stores, gas stations, clothing vendors, and restaurants and more! The stores sell the gift certificates to the school at a discount. The school then sells the certificates at face value and the participating family receives a credit for tuition from each certificate. To sign up for the T.R.I.P. program, complete the registration form. Orders can be placed using the T.R.I.P. Order Form (Updated January 13, 2010) and brought to the T.R.I.P. table in the LCS commons on Wednesday mornings from 7:30am-8:30am to be picked up the following Wednesday morning (please note that during the holidays the schedule is subject to vary slightly). LCS high school students can earn money by running a concession stand at MSU Football and Men's Basketball Games.

This is a great opportunity for LCS to be out in the community and also gives parents and students a chance to earn money for class trips, tuition and LCS sponsored mission trips.  

For each basketball game we will need 13-17 workers depending on the game.  It is essential that as many LCS families as possible take advantage of this opportunity to work at these games.  If the games are not staffed with sufficient workers it jeopardizes our opportunity to continue this program.  While working at these games is open to any LCS family, preference will be given to high school families to work.  Any students working at the games need to be in high school.  .  Pay is determined by the commission paid based on the profits from each game.  To ensure that the funds earned go to the proper account, be sure to complete the Concessions Earnings Use Authorization form.

Randy Umfleet is the concession stand manager for all the LCS stands at MSU athletic events and will be handling the scheduling of the workers at each event.  Contact Randy via email (randy@southlife.org) to sign up to work and indicate 1) which games you would like to work and 2) what family members will be working. You will then receive an email back confirming the workers and times. The majority of workers in our stand must be over 16.    If the need for workers cannot be met with members of the High School, other LCS students and families will have the opportunity to meet the need.   

Parents, please make this a priority as your student needs to earn money for class trips and an added benefit now is the money you earn can be applied to your tuition or other school sponsored trips. If you have any questions, please contact Randy Umfleet via (email).

LCS students have the opportunity to work Lansing Lugnuts games. All monies earned will be paid to LCS and LCS will distribute those earnings to student accounts according to time worked. The monies are to be used for activities within LCS (class trips, tuition or other school-related costs and fees). ANY family member can work the Lugnut games as long as they meet the minimum age requirements. The more workers each family has the more money they earn. To see the 2010 schedule, click here. The Picnics are held in Tailgate Terrace at the end of the 1st base line. Each worker will earn $30 per game & should be a minimum of 16 years or older. Work time is approximately 4 hours.

Important things to remember when working at the Lugnuts:

• Dress Code: Plain white collared polo shirt or white long sleeve turtleneck (weather appropriate), tan pants, ankle length pants or shorts, comfortable closed toe shoes (no sandals or high heels). Hair must be tied back. Lugnuts hat will be supplied by LCS.
• Each worker receives $30 in their personal class account. Example: Your family of 5 people works a game, you earn $150 for that date.
• It is your responsibility to sign in and out with the LCS Lead Worker in order for payment to be credited to your class account.
• Work Hours Vary – Ending times are approximate.
• You must be 16 years or older to work with LCS at the Lugnut games.
• If unable to work your scheduled date, you are responsible for finding a replacement and notifying the LCS Lead Worker for that work date at least 1 week prior to your work date.
• Monies earned this season will be credited to your LCS account on September 1st of the upcoming school year.
