"Little Pilgrims" Daycare
Lansing Christian School is pleased to announce that full-time childcare will be available on the LCS campus for the 2008-09 school year. Little Pilgrims provides care to children ages 3-5 from 7:30am to 6:00pm, Monday-Friday. Little Pilgrims is for parents who want a smooth transition for their child from part-time preschool and kindergarten to daycare and parents who are looking for a Christian-based childcare provider. Children enrolling in Little Pilgrims should attend regularly each week. Little Pilgrims does not provide drop-in daycare.
Daily Schedule
7:30am -8:15am Arrival and free play
8:15am -8:45am Structured play, activity or project
8:45am -9:15am Circle time
9:15am -9:30am Snack (provided)
9:30am -10:00am Outdoor play (depending on the weather)
10:00am -11:00am Quiet Time (read books, play quietly, nap, etc.)
11:00am -11:30am Lunch (may be purchased at LCS or brought from home)
11:30am -12:00pm Free play while preschoolers get ready for and head to their class
12:00pm -12:30pm Structured play, activity or project
12:30pm -1:00pm Circle time
1:00pm -1:30pm Outdoor play (weather permitting)
1:30pm -1:45pm Snack (provided)
1:45pm-2:45pm Quiet Time (read books, play quietly, nap, etc.)
2:45pm -3:15pm Clean up and transition to after school care
3:15pm-3:30pm Free time in the gym
3:30pm-4:00pm Snack (provided)
4:00pm-4:30pm Outdoor play (weather permitting)
4:30pm-6:00pm Story, craft, games, read, etc.

To Enroll an LCS Preschool or Kindergarten Student in "Little Pilgrims"
Complete the "Little Pilgrims" emergency contact card, health form, and registration form and submit to the LCS Main Office.
To Enroll a Child not attending LCS Preschool or Kindergarten in "Little Pilgrims"
1. Complete the family application (if no children in your family are enrolled at LCS), child application (per child not enrolled at LCS) and submit to the LCS Main Office with the $25 registration fee per child enrolling in "Little Pilgrims" (fee may be credited toward childcare).
2. The elementary principal will then review the application, and determine acceptance.
3. Upon acceptance, complete the "Little Pilgrims" emergency contact card, health form, and registration form and submit to the LCS Main Office.
“Junior Pilgrims” After School Program
The Junior Pilgrims after school program is available to LCS students in Kindergarten – 6th grade from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. It is our commitment to provide quality care at a reasonable cost to parents. It is based on the understanding that each child is a unique creation with a special personality, interests, and needs. Each day children enrolled in this program will have the opportunity to play, relax, study, socialize, and do other special activities. Junior Pilgrims creates a smooth transition from the child’s school day to home.
Typical Daily Schedule
3:00 p.m. Students dismissed to meet in the small gymnasium for attendance
3:10 p.m. Circle time and prayer
3:15 p.m. Free time in the gym
3:30 p.m. Snack (provided)
4:00 p.m. Outside recess and playground activities (weather permitting)
4:30 p.m. Story, crafts, games, read, homework, etc.
6:00 p.m. All children to be picked up
Daily Rate:
3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. = $5.00
3:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. = $7.00
3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. = $8.00
3:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. = $9.00
3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. = $12.00

To register for "Junior Pilgrims", complete the registration form (08-09 registration forms to be posted very soon - stay tuned!) and return it to the Elementary Office.
