LCS Stories

Davis – 9th Grade

What do you love about LCS?

I really love how athletics closely knits us together in community. I did Cross Country this fall and became friends with a lot of people. I highly recommend joining Cross Country because we had a good time everyday.

Describe one of your favorite teachers and tell why he/she is a favorite

Mr. Kleyn is an awesome teacher here at Lansing Christian. He is very smart, very funny, and easy to work with… most of the time.

In what ways have you grown in your faith as a result of your experience at LCS?

Having a chapel and a Bible class lets me understand my faith better. Also, you feel like you can talk to people about your personal issues and faith here, at least in my experience.

How do you live and learn in Christian community?

I think I can live and learn easier here because we don’t really have to deal with the “politically correct” stuff in other schools. Our faith vs. our grades isn’t ever at stake unlike issues you hear about otherwise.

How do you feel that LCS is preparing you for graduation, college and life?

I’ve understood that the education at LCS is much better than that of a public school, so I am prepared academically. Also, LCS provides you with social aspects that you might not get everyday as a homeschooler.

What are your plans after graduation?

I don’t really know what my plans will be after graduation. I hope that God will bless me with goals and a willingness to serve him in whatever I do.
