Senior Trip, May 19-23, 2023:

Once again, the seniors will have the opportunity to travel to Washington, DC in May before they graduate. Washington, DC is an excellent location for a school trip as it provides opportunities for many areas of interest including government, history, art, biology, sports, culture, etc. Because much of what we do on the trip is centrally located and has free admission, we are able to do a lot while also keeping the cost of the trip down. This is also a trip that LCS knows well and has done successfully in the past, and we are confident that this year’s Senior Trip will be another great experience for our students.

The details of the trip are still being worked out, but here are some of the things we are hoping to do either as a whole group or as small group options:

    • Tour the White House
    • The Holocaust Museum
    • A night tour of the monuments in Washington including Lincoln, FDR, WWII, Vietnam Memorials
    • The Smithsonian Museums
    • A major league baseball game
    • The National Archives
    • Arlington National Cemetery and Tomb of the Unknown Soldier
    • Washington Monument
    • National Zoo

      8th grade trip to Chicago,

      June 8-9, 2023

Once again, our 8th graders will have the opportunity to travel to Chicago in June. This end of year trip is a great way to cap off middle school before transitioning into high school and is a trip that 8th graders look forward to the most every year.  This has always been a great experience for our students. While in Chicago, our students will spend time wandering through Lincoln Park Zoo. They will also have the opportunity to visit the Hancock Building with the famous 360 window, indulge in Chicago pizza, spend time at Navy Pier while also having free time to enjoy downtown Chicago.
      Approximate student cost: $250.00

      Stratford Festival, Oct. 3, 2023

For years, the LCS English Department has taken a yearly trip to Stratford, Ontario, Canada to see a Shakespearean play at the Shakespeare Festival. We had to pause the trip from 2020-2022 due to border restrictions, but we are pleased to announce that we will be able to go to Stratford this coming fall to attend a production of KING LEAR. Please continue reading below for important information regarding the trip.

The cost of the trip will be $100. This price includes a ticket to the play and transportation by Holiday Coach Bus Company.  To secure your place on this trip, sending in your payment by June 1, 2023 is preferred. However, we will be collecting payment in August as well for any spots that remain. The final deadline to submit payment is August 31, 2023.
