A COMMUNITY PROJECT: The 2020-2025 Strategic Plan

During the past five years, the Board of Trustees, leadership, teachers, and staff of LCS have been committed to moving forward school-wide priorities in the 2015-2020 strategic plan.

The current plan has helped the school establish a foundation of financial sustainability; a viable presence in the marketplace; new strategies for growing enrollment and retention; growth in academic excellence and STEM; a comprehensive preschool through twelfth grade athletic program; and new strategies to attract, retain, and develop our Christian teachers.

Under the leadership of the Board of Trustees, the decision was made to broaden and deepen the work that has been accomplished during the last five years, while also pursuing new priorities that will inform a vision for the future of education at Lansing Christian School.

The important work of discerning God’s future plans for LCS is being accomplished by a whole community.

The 2020-25 strategic planning process began with large questions of possibility that challenged nearly 200 people to think ambitiously about the current and future impact of Lansing Christian School in the Greater Lansing area.

Parent and student focus groups, board and administration, donors, the PreK-12 teaching faculty, community members, and local pastors have all contributed to the process during the past several months.

The new 2020-2025 priorities and five-year strategies will be officially approved by the Board of Trustees in May, 2020. We look forward to communicating the new priorities to the LCS community soon.
