Substitute Teaching
Lansing Christian School is seeking applicants for substitute teachers for all grade levels (preschool-12th grade). Applicants should have 60 hours of college credit. Education background is preferred but not necessary.

Personal qualifications: Recognizing that Lansing Christian School is strongly committed to the Christian faith, we seek a teacher whose passion is uniting his/her faith with a love for working with middle and high school students and the ability to cultivate a positive and engaging educational environment.
Professional qualifications: We are seeking a full-time physical education teacher for 2025-2026 for middle and high school classes who is committed to student-centered instruction, collaboration with colleagues, and a growth mindset toward their practice.
Candidates must have a/an:
- Michigan teaching certification
- MC Endorsement (Health and Physical Education) or working toward this endorsement.
- Experience with teaching Middle or High School

Educational Support Services Paraeducator
Position Title: Educational Support Services (ESS) Paraeducator
School: Lansing Christian School

Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Educational Support Services Paraeducator to join our team. This essential role supports students with diverse learning needs by providing accommodations, implementing individualized plans, and cultivating a Christ-centered environment that promotes growth. The position involves close collaboration with teachers, the ESS team, administrators, and families to help students achieve their academic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with learning differences by implementing accommodations as outlined in their individualized plans.
- Assist classroom teachers in delivering targeted instruction and interventions.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students in academic areas.
- Collaborate with teachers and the ESS team to monitor student progress and adjust support strategies as needed.
- Prepare and organize materials for lessons and activities.
Qualifications:
- Certified teacher (preferred) or prior teaching experience.
- Proficiency in 6th-12th grade math and science standards.
- Ability to relate well to students and build positive relationships.
- Adaptability to complement various teaching styles and classroom environments.
- Strong commitment to maintaining confidentiality regarding student information.
- Capacity to take direction from teachers and supervisors while working independently when needed.
- Initiative and responsibility to assume tasks with minimal supervision.
- Collaborative mindset to work effectively with teachers, fostering teamwork, idea-sharing, and problem-solving.
- A personal commitment to Christian faith and the ability to integrate biblical principles.
