Honoring Excellence: The 2025 Distinguished Alumni Award
At Lansing Christian School, we take great pride in recognizing the achievements and impact of our alumni. Established in 2011 in honor of our 60th anniversary, the Distinguished Alumni Award celebrates individuals who have exemplified excellence in their profession, service to their community, loyalty to LCS, and unwavering integrity and character.
Each year, this award is presented to alumni who have demonstrated outstanding accomplishments in the following areas:
- Professional Attainment and Achievement – Making a significant impact in their field or profession.
- Community Service and Industry Contributions – Outstanding voluntary service to their community or outstanding service to their industry.
- Lansing Christian Loyalty and Support – A demonstrated commitment to LCS through time, talent, or financial contributions.
- Integrity and Character – Upholding the highest standard of personal integrity and Christian character.
This year, we are honored to present the 2025 Distinguished Alumni Award to two remarkable individuals who embody these values in all aspects of their lives. It is with great joy that we recognize Robert Reese IV and Amanda Robinson Reese, Class of 2004!

A Legacy of Faith and Service
Bob and Mandy are true “lifers” of Lansing Christian School, having started their educational journey here in Kindergarten and Preschool. Their connection deepened in their senior year when they began dating, and their shared history at LCS became the foundation for a life built on faith, service, and dedication to their family and community.
During their time at LCS, Bob and Mandy were actively involved in chorale, basketball, and soccer, with Bob also playing baseball. Among their cherished memories, they recall the wisdom and mentorship of two standout teachers. Mr. Delano instilled in Bob the importance of being a “one-mistake player,” a lesson in perseverance and resilience. Mrs. Hofman taught Mandy the value of starting small when tackling a new project—a principle that has guided her throughout her career and personal life. Mrs. Hofman also became Mandy’s mentor and boss during her six years of teaching middle school at LCS.
A Foundation in Faith and Farming
Bob pursued a Bachelor of Science in Crop and Soil Sciences at Michigan State University, while Mandy earned her Elementary Education degree at the University of Michigan, later obtaining a Master of Arts in Teaching and Curriculum from MSU. Their educational backgrounds have played a crucial role in their family’s legacy as they continue to run Reese Farm, a fourth-generation family-owned farm that has been a staple in the Lansing area since 1944.
Reese Farm is renowned for producing some of the best sweet corn in the region, along with a variety of crops and a sizeable beef herd. Beyond providing fresh produce, the farm has become a place of growth and learning for many LCS students who gain valuable work experience, develop teamwork skills, and serve their community.

Continuing the Legacy at LCS
Bob and Mandy’s dedication to Lansing Christian School extends beyond their alumni status. Today, three of their five children are enrolled at LCS, continuing the family’s deep-rooted connection to the school. Their ongoing service to the school, church, and community is a testament to their unwavering faith and commitment to Christ.
We are incredibly proud to honor Robert Reese IV and Amanda Robinson Reese with the Distinguished Alumni Award of 2025. Their lives exemplify the mission of Lansing Christian School—to equip young men and women to engage and transform the world for Jesus Christ. Congratulations, Bob and Mandy!
