LCS Stories

Annie – 9th Grade

What do you like about LCS?
It is a tight-knit community filled with people who love and deeply know each other. We may be small, but it means that everyone gets to know everyone. LCS is full of people who care about you and your future. You get to have so many relationships with so many people. LCS also gives you many opportunities some larger schools don’t, and there is always something to participate in and join.

Every teacher greets you with a smile and an open mind. They never make you feel less-than for not knowing something, and they are always willing to take extra time out of their day to explain something, make up an assignment, or just have a chat.

What is your favorite subject in school?
That is so hard to say! I love all of them. However, ONE of my favorites is Chemistry with Ms. Joos.

What is an area you’ve grown in this year?
I’m growing in how to manage my time along with homework and extracurriculars, giving myself grace, and being content with the effort I put in.

What sports or extracurriculars are you involved in?
I’m involved in cross country, basketball, Student Council, Multicultural Club, and Chapel Leadership.

How has your faith grown at LCS?
I’m growing in having patience. If you don’t feel God’s presence, still pray consistently. It could take days, weeks, even years to have a deep connection with Him, so always work towards it.
