Why do you love LCS?

I love the teachers and the learning environment. I also love the community and the emphasis on having Christ in our everyday lives and classes.

Name one of your favorite teachers. Why is he or she a favorite?

Mrs. Hileman has been my math teacher for the past two years. She’s great at thoroughly explaining things and making complicated concepts easier to understand. She’s also available to help you when you’re stuck or don’t understand things. And she’s really funny.

How has your faith grown as a result of your experience at LCS?

It has been so good for me to be in an environment where I can talk about my faith. I used to be uncomfortable talking about my faith with other people and being open about that part of my life, but LCS has really opened me up. It has also given me insight into a lot of things about God that I didn’t even know.

Describe what it is like to live and learn in Christian community at LCS.

I try to place my faith at the center of my life so that everything I’m doing is a reflection of my faith.

How is LCS preparing you for graduation, college and life?

I’m not only growing and preparing for the academic side of college… but also for life. The teachers are good at giving us life lessons and real-life applications in each subject. As a student, it’s hard to see how subjects like math and science and history apply to real life, but the teachers really make that clear. The teachers are also great at making sure that the students are doing their best. They let us know what professors are expecting in college, so we’ll have the tools we need to be successful.

What is your current plan beyond graduation?

I plan to go to college and major in dance.
