A Christ-Centered Foundation for Growth
The middle school years are a vital season of growth – academically, spiritually, socially, and physically. Recognizing God as the source of all truth, wisdom, and knowledge, our middle school program is built upon a biblical foundation. We are committed to partnering with Christian families to nurture students in the truth of God’s Word, while equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and discipline needed for success in high school and beyond.
Our aim is not only academic achievement, but the development of young men and women who love the Lord, think carefully, act responsibly, and seek to honor Christ in every area of life.

Academic Excellence Rooted in Biblical Truth
At Lansing Christian School, every subject is taught from a distinctly Christian worldview, helping students understand how faith should shape their learning and daily life. We challenge and support them to pursue intellectual growth through a rigorous curriculum that includes:
- Bible — regular study and memorization of Scripture
- English — literature, grammar, and composition
- Mathematics — logical reasoning, problem-solving, and mastery of foundational skills
- Science — study of God’s created order and faithful stewardship of creation
- History & Social Studies — examination of cultures and civilizations through the lens of God’s providence and His intended means for human flourishing
- World Language — language mastery and cultural exploration
- Fine Arts — cultivating creativity and appreciation for beauty through the visual and performing arts
- Physical Education & Health — regarding the human body as God’s temple, and using it to glorify Him
Instruction emphasizes responsibility, perseverance, and academic excellence. Students are expected to take ownership of their work, grow in independence, and pursue learning with integrity while receiving guidance and encouragement from dedicated Christian teachers.
Spiritual & Character Formation
We understand that education is more than information — it is formation. During these important years, students are developing habits of mind and heart that will shape their future, and so we intentionally cultivate Christlike character, integrity, humility, and respect for others.
Through Bible classes, weekly chapel services, prayer, service opportunities, and daily interactions, students are encouraged to deepen their personal faith and grow in spiritual maturity. They are challenged to understand what they believe, articulate their faith clearly, and stand firm in their convictions with grace and courage. Teachers serve not only as instructors but as mentors who model faithful Christian living.
Extracurriculars & Athletics
Activities outside the classroom give students opportunities to explore their interests, build meaningful friendships, and develop leadership skills.
Middle school students can participate in a variety of enriching extracurricular activities, including:
- Music Festivals and Competitions
- School Musical
- Mathematics Competition
- Prayer and Bible Study Groups
- Chapel Praise and Worship Team
- Athletics: 23 teams and club sports
Throughout the year, middle school students also enjoy special events and activities such as an overnight spiritual retreat, field days, service day, spirit week, and educational field trips.
Equipped for the Future
Middle school at Lansing Christian School prepares students for the increased responsibilities of high school while strengthening their spiritual foundation. By combining strong academics with consistent spiritual formation, we strive to develop confident learners, thoughtful Christians, responsible leaders, and faithful members of their communities.
Our prayer is that each student leaves middle school better equipped to pursue excellence, serve others, and walk steadfastly with the Lord.
