A Legacy of Christian Education
Lansing Christian School was founded in 1951 by families seeking Christ-centered education rooted in the infallible authority of Scripture. For more than seventy years, the school has partnered with parents to prepare students to faithfully serve God in the world.
Christ-Centered Learning
Biblical truths inform everything we do, and spiritual formation is integrated into every part of school life through daily Bible instruction, weekly chapel, and opportunities for student leadership and service. Students are taught by Christian teachers who faithfully guide students to know and love God more deeply through their studies.
Partnership with Christian Parents
At LCS, we believe God’s design gives the home the primary responsibility for children’s education, and we exist to support Christian parents in their effort to lead their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
Academic Excellence
Students engage in a challenging liberal arts curriculum with Advanced Placement courses, strong college preparation, and dedicated faculty who model intellectual curiosity, discipline, and integrity in the classroom.
Whole-Student Development
At LCS education extends beyond the classroom to develop well-rounded students who excel not only in academics, but also in visual and performing arts, athletics, activities, and service.
A Strong Christian Community
We warmly encourage parent involvement, recognizing the many hours generously given annually by parents as an essential part of our school’s strength and success. Our families come from more than 90 churches and dozens of school districts, creating a vibrant learning community united by shared belief and purpose.
Governance
LCS is governed by the Lansing Christian School Association, to which all parents belong. The Association elects the Board of Trustees, which is entrusted with preserving the philosophy of Christian education and advancing the mission upon which the school was founded.
