Celebrating the Legacy of Wendy Hofman

The Lansing Christian School community came together to honor and celebrate our Head of School, Wendy Hofman, whose faithful leadership has left a lasting impact on our school. In a moving celebration filled with gratitude, stories, and joyful reflection, we recognized the incredible legacy Wendy leaves behind.

The day began with a special all-school assembly, where students, staff, and guests gathered to commemorate her years of service. Former middle and high school principal Andrew Kleyn and former Board of Trustees Chair Tamara Cutler shared heartfelt words, reflecting on Wendy’s unwavering commitment to Christian education, her strong leadership, and her deep love for the LCS community. Our students blessed the occasion with beautiful music, and several faculty members prayed over Wendy, thanking God for her leadership and asking for His guidance in the next chapter of her journey.

Later that evening, we welcomed families, alumni, colleagues, and friends to a reception in her honor. The celebration was made even more meaningful by the presence of Wendy’s family and a few of her former teachers from her time as a student at Lansing Christian School. These connections are a beautiful reminder of how deeply rooted Wendy is in the heart of LCS.

Wendy’s leadership has been marked by a clear and consistent vision to keep Christ at the center of everything we do. Her impact will be felt for generations through the lives of students, the growth of our campus, and the strong sense of community she cultivated.

As we celebrate all that God has done through Wendy’s faithful service, we give thanks for her dedication, humility, and love for our school.

Lansing Christian School is stronger because of her, and we are excited to carry her legacy forward.
