LIVING THE STORY
Serving others helps students grow in their understanding of God’s world and cultivate a heart for His people. At Lansing Christian School, we view service as an essential part of spiritual formation, recognizing that the Christian faith is not merely professed in words or talk, but actually lived out in deed and in truth (1 John 3:18).
From the elementary years on, LCS students participate in formative learning experiences that provide opportunities to extend hope and healing to others and to care for God’s creation. At each grade level, they are guided to apply their knowledge and skills to produce meaningful work that shows real love and encouragement to all of God’s people.
Through these acts of service, students learn to use their gifts as faithful stewards of God’s grace (1 Peter 4:10) and to embrace the Bible’s call to selfless love: “through love serve one another” (Galatians 5:13). In this way, they are taught to live out their faith with humility, responsibility, and joy, seeking to honor Christ in all they do.
