Tuition at Lansing Christian School

Explore the value of a Christ-centered liberal arts education

Giving your child the best education is one of the most rewarding things you can do as a parent. You want a school where faith and learning go hand-in-hand, where your investment will pay dividends today and in the years to come.

Our mission is partnering with Christian parents to educate children to the full extent of their God-given abilities, and we strive to make it possible for families to afford a quality Christ-centered liberal arts education. Our tuition assistance program, transfer discount for new students, and scholarship opportunities can help reduce the overall cost of an LCS education. Families recognize the value of an LCS education because it offers:

  • A nurturing learning environment, supported by optimal class sizes where each student is known, valued, and encouraged to flourish.
  • A strong academic foundation informed by our Christian heritage and faith. Our college-prep curriculum supports and inspires students to continually grow in intellectual understanding, spiritual wisdom, social virtues, and physical fitness.
  • A well-rounded student experience through the arts, athletics, clubs, electives, service, leadership, and other enrichment opportunities.

Through our Tuition Assistance program, your family’s unique financial situation is carefully considered to help make Christian education more affordable. When families apply for tuition assistance, the total cost of tuition and fees for K–12 students may be reduced based on each family’s circumstances. “We wanted to feel confident sending our children to a school where they would be loved, challenged, and cared for. School can be tough, and we wanted our children to grow and learn from teachers and mentors who share similar values and beliefs and foster positive growth. At LCS, the teachers and staff care so deeply for each child it permeates the entire school experience. I firmly believe the long-term rewards will far outweigh the short-term cost.”

LCS Tuition Assistance Q&A

How Do You Determine If a Family Is Eligible for Tuition Assistance?

Families submit financial information through Blackbaud Financial Aid Management. A tuition assistance rubric is used to review each application and determine eligibility. Award amounts are based on factors such as income, assets, family size, and other relevant circumstances.

Is There a Cap on Available Tuition Assistance Funds?

LCS has a generous Tuition Assistance budget, but funds are limited. Our first round of Tuition Assistance review begins in January, and applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Families who anticipate needing Tuition Assistance are encouraged to apply as early as possible.

Is Tuition Assistance Available for Students in All Grades?

Tuition Assistance is available for students entering kindergarten through 12th grade.

Will Applying for Tuition Assistance Affect My Child’s Chance of Admission?

No. Applying for Tuition Assistance does not affect a student’s eligibility for admission and is not a factor in admissions decisions.

What Income Is Typical for Families Who Qualify for Tuition Assistance?

There is no “typical” income level. Because each family’s situation is different, Blackbaud Financial Aid considers multiple factors including income, assets, unusual expenses, and family size. As a result, families with a wide range of circumstances may qualify.

What Payment Plan Options Are Available?

LCS offers a monthly tuition payment plan over 12 months (July–June). Families may also choose to pay tuition in full by July 1 and receive a 2% discount.

Save the Earth for future Generations.

No human technology can replace `nature`s technology`, perfected over hundreds of millions of years to sustain life on Earth. For those in power, the questions are straightforward. Are they prepared to jeopardize their careers – or their profits – for our children’s children? Are they ready to put short-term politicking aside and help deliver a sustainable plan for the future? Are they willing to take difficult decisions on behalf of voters they’ll never meet?
