Student Activities
Student Council
The LCS Student Council provides high school students with meaningful opportunities to develop their leadership skills through elected office. Composed of class presidents and male and female representatives, the council works to plan student activities, promote school spirit, and represent the student body with integrity and maturity.
Ambassadors
Student ambassadors serve as representatives of Lansing Christian School, modeling our mission to prospective students, families, and guests. Ambassadors are expected to be knowledgeable, gracious, and articulate – offering an authentic glimpse into daily life at LCS. Selected students demonstrate strong character, sincere hospitality, and a servant’s heart.
National Honor Society
The National Honor Society (NHS) recognizes high school students who exemplify excellence in their scholarship, character, leadership, and service. Since 2002, LCS has maintained an NHS chapter, and juniors and seniors who meet the academic (minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA) and character qualifications may be invited into membership. An induction ceremony is held each fall. Through active participation in chapter service and leadership, NHS students are encouraged to make the most of their God-given gifts and prepare for faithful service in college and beyond.
Student Statesmanship Institute
LCS partners with the Student Statesmanship Institute (SSI) to offer seniors a three-day mock legislative experience that integrates civic engagement with a biblical worldview. Through hands-on participation in a simulated legislative process, students develop critical thinking, public speaking, and leadership skills while reflecting on the Christian call to wise, faithful, and responsible citizenship.
