What Parents Need to Know for Back-to-School at LCS

The countdown to the first day of school has begun, and we’re looking forward to welcoming students and families back to campus! Whether you’re returning or joining us for the first time, here’s what you need to know to start the year off well.

School Supply Lists
Supply lists for elementary, middle school, and high school students are posted on our website.

Skyward and Back-to-School Forms
All back-to-school forms must be completed in Skyward before Meet the Teacher on August 13. Middle and high school students may also see their class schedules in Skyward or pick them up during Meet the Teacher.

Athletics Participation Forms
Middle and high school students planning to participate in sports during the 2025–26 school year are required to have a current MHSAA pre-participation physical on file. To be valid, physicals must be dated on or after April 15, 2025. Click here to access the MHSAA Physical Form.

All athletic forms are submitted electronically through PRIVIT. Click here to visit the LCS Athletics Parent Resource Page for all required forms and step-by-step instructions on setting up your PRIVIT account.

Back-to-School Newsletter Arrives in Early August
Be on the lookout for our back-to-school newsletter in your inbox. It’s full of important updates, helpful reminders, and links to resources to help your family prepare for the school year.

Meet the Teacher – Wednesday, August 13
Come reconnect with friends, meet teachers, and get your student ready for the year ahead! Meet the Teacher is a great opportunity for students to say hello to classmates, find their locker, and get comfortable with the school day routine. We encourage all families to attend and take time to meet other parents, students, teachers, and staff members.

First Day of School – Tuesday, August 19
We can’t wait to start the school year with your family! All students will begin the day at 8:00 AM. Parents are invited to join us for a special First Day Chapel, a meaningful tradition that centers our school year in Christ and brings our community together from day one.

Parent Night – Tuesday, August 26
Mark your calendars for Parent Night! This evening provides a valuable opportunity to meet your child’s teachers, hear about classroom expectations, and learn how we can partner together throughout the year. Parents will also receive helpful tips on staying connected and communicating with teachers.

Helpful Online Resources for Parents
Our Parent Resources page on the website includes important details such as the school calendar, dress code, lunch information, and more.
New to LCS? Our New Family Webpage is designed to support both new and returning families. You’ll find key dates, school policies, and practical tips to help your family navigate the school year with confidence.

We’re so grateful to partner with you in your child’s education and look forward to all that God has in store for the year ahead!
